ABOUT  CAT 2024

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to the Post-graduate (PGP) and Fellow Programs in Management (FPM) courses of several management institutes across India. With approximately 3 lakh registrations per year, it is the most important exam for entrance to any MBA course in India. Some of the most prominent institutes accepting CAT 2024 scores are:

Each institute uses a combination of CAT scores, written assessment (WAT), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) to select candidates. However, the weightage assigned to various parameters may differ across institutes.
The CAT score is used separately by each institute along with other parameters i.e. academic performance, work experience, group discussion, written assessment and interview performance etc. to select candidates. The weightage assigned to CAT score may differ for each institute.

CAT 2024 Eligibility

The aspirants who want to write the CAT 2024 exam should meet the eligilbity criteria given below.
As per the lastest CAT exam Notification the aspiring candidates should have a bachelors degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA and 45% for candidates belonging from SC, ST, and PwD categories. The students who are in final year of thier bachelor’s degree or awaiting results of thier final exam are also eligible for the CAT 2024 exam. To summarize it down the following candidates are eligible for the exam:-

• Candidates who have completed thier Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% (45% for students belonging from SC,ST and PwD candidates.
• Final year bachelor’s degree candidates or those awaiting their result are also eligible to appear for the CAT 2024 exam.
• Candidates with professional qualifications such as CA/CS/ICWA can also appear in the CAT.

CAT 2024 Registration Fees:

₹1250 for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates
₹2500 for all other categories of candidates
